Sales Tax:

There is NO sales tax on tea.   You can thank those Colonials disguised as Indians who tossed a bunch of Tea into the Boston Harbor for that one!
Teapots, cups, brewing equipment and accessories are subject to 8.01% Sales for the residents of Nevada only.

Shipping Schedule & Rates:

All orders ship within 2 to 3 Business Days after we receive them.

If your order is delayed for any reason (an item is temporarily out of stock, we're out of town on a buying trip, etc.), we'll send you an e-mail advising you of the delay and giving an estimated shipping date.

We ship via the USPS Priority (United States Postal Service) and Federal Express Ground (Fed Ex)
Our shipping rates are very reasonable:
We charge only what USPS or FedEx charges, no additional fees or surcharges are applied. You can see what the shipping charges will be at checkout using the Shipping Calculator.

Tracking Your Shipment:

You will receive an e-mail message from us notifying you that your package was shipped and providing you with a means to track its progress.   To learn about the status of your shipment, please visit the USPS or Fed Ex tracking sites and enter the tracking number provided.

Returns Policy:

Unfortunately, there are no returns on Tea, or on Custom Packed items. You may, however, return Teaware and Accessories if they are damaged or defective.

In the event that a shipment arrives with damage, first - contact the carrier and file a claim with them - we can help you with this if needed - please call us at: 702-637-5753 or• Mon - Sat • 9am - 7pm.

Then e-mail us at: to arrange for a return and exchange or full refund of your purchase.

What information we collect & how we use it.  

To complete an order, our customers must give us their contact information (name, e-mail, phone number and shipping address) and billing information (credit/debit card number and expiration date and billing address if different from the shipping address).   This information is used to process and ship your order.  

Special Offers:
Our customers will occasionally receive information on products, services or special deals.

You may choose not to receive our mailings at any time.     Please see the "Choice / Opt-out" section below.  

On rare occasions it may be necessary to send out a strictly service-related announcement.   For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email.   Generally, users may not opt-out of these communications.   However, these are not promotional in nature, and are (we hope!) extremely infrequent.

Choice / Opt-out:

We respect your privacy and give you an opportunity to opt-out of receiving our periodic Announce-
ments of sales, promotions or future newsletters.

At this time, we do not use any long-term cookies.   Any cookies set during your visit are for use by our shopping cart system, and will expire when you leave our site.

Log Files:
Logs are the information created and stored by the server and may include such data as a visitor's IP address, browser type, ISP, referring, entrance and exit pages, operating system type, and a date/time stamp.   This information is used to analyze traffic trends, administer the site and gather broad demographic information for internal use.   None of the information collected in this manner may be used to determine the personal identity of any of our visitors.

The Tea Shack (LV) is the sole owner of the information collected on this site and on our retail and wholesale store sites.

We do not sell or rent this information to any third party.   The only companies we share some information with are USPS, FedEx and

We use USPS and Fed Ex to ship orders, and the PayPal and gateways to bill customers for their purchases.   These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any other purpose.

Security Procedures:

Spirit of the Lotus takes every precaution to protect our customers' and visitors' information.   All sensitive information (such as credit card numbers) is transmitted using 128-bit SSL encryption.   You may also verify that the Shopping Cart Page is secure by looking for the closed lock icon at the bottom or top of most browser windows.
